Q. How do I book a session?
A. First you'll need to request a session via my "inquire" page. Then, I'll have you fill out my client questionnaire to get contact info and to find out more about what you'd like out of your session. Making sure that we're a good fit and that I have everything needed for a successful session is extremely important. Please be detailed in your responses. Once completed and reviewed, I'll send the contract and invoice to your email. Both signed contract and paid retainer are required to book a session.
Q. When do I need to sign the contract and pay the invoice?
A. Contracts and retainers are due upon receipt. Any un-signed contracts or un-paid retainers are automatically cancelled after 48 hours. Completing one without the other does not guarantee you a spot on my calendar. Once both have been completed, you will receive a detailed prep guide with session information and what to expect.
Q. What payment methods do you take?
A. Debit/Credit cards.
Q. How do I receive my images?
A. 7 Days after your session with Victoria Griest Photography you'll receive a link to an online proofing gallery. From there, you'll be able to download your high-resolution digital images and purchase any extra digitals, prints and canvases.
Q. Do we receive prints with our session?
A. Prints and other forms of art-work are not included in my session fee. Art-work may be purchased à la carte. To view a detailed pricing guide, click "here".
Q. Am I required to print through you?
A. No. While I do offer beautiful, high end art-work printed from my professional printing lab, I understand not everyone can afford the price tag. All of my sessions include a print release as well.
Q. When is the best time to book my maternity session?
A. I typically book out weeks in advance so I suggest expecting moms book their maternity session during your second trimester. We'll schedule your session for a date between 30 and 36 weeks gestation. This will ensure your bump is nice and round and you won't be uncomfortable.
Q. Can my family join in the session as well?
A. Absolutely! Your family is so important during this special time. There is no extra fee for intimidate family joining in.
Q. When is the best time to book my newborn session?
A. I take on a limited amount of newborn sessions per month to make sure my parents and babies receive the attention they deserve. I suggest booking your session during your second trimester to ensure availability. We'll mark your due date on my calendar then after baby is born we'll set an exact session date.
Q. I missed the 5-14 day window, will you still photograph my baby?
A. Of course! As a mom of two, I completely understand how hectic pregnancy and becoming a new parent can be. For this reason I photograph newborns up to 4 weeks.
Q. How many set-ups are included in your newborn sessions?
A. To keep babies from getting over stimulated and uncomfortable, I try to keep my set-ups to a maximum of six(6). I'll take plenty of unique photos and poses for each set-up. If you'd like more set-ups, you may purchase a second session for a separate date and time.
Q. Are extended family (grandparents, great grandparents, God parents ect.) allowed to join in as well?
A. Extended family may be added included for an extra $25 per person.
Q. May we bring extended family and friends to your studio?
Q. Do you charge a travel fee for in-home sessions?
A. Yes, I charge a flat $30 convenience fee for in-home sessions.
Q. How far out do you travel for in-home newborn sessions?
A. I service anyone within a 70 mile radius of my studio.
